Carnegie’s chain of pubs were so popular in the city fifteen years ago, there was also Carnegie’s in West George Street, St Vincent Street, and Waterloo Street.

Carniegie’s underground was originally Alice Underground which had a VW camper sticking out the wall, a Mini as a booth and the light show gave the feeling of being under the water as you could see the diving board on the ceiling.

Previous comment spot on I spent many a night there before hitting the savoy night club in my teens I remember everything seemed to be upside down hanging from the ceiling and weird sort of stuff scattered about, memories are flooding back, I enjoyed it great place about 1985ish.

Omg I ised to love going to Carnegie’s with my friends at the wkends. Then on to either rooftops, the savoy, cardinal follies or the Mayfair.
