Facts…
The Bay Horse closed down at the end of 2004 after a flood from the tenement above. After a few months the tenement was mysteriously set on fire resulting in the entire building being demolished. In the last few years mysterious fire have destroyed many of our Glasgow pubs.
This old pub was once known as the Era Vaults, occupied by wine & spirit Merchant John McCall.
In 1906 this old pub was known as the “Clydesdale” Bar.

me &my pal drank in this pub when wee jacky keanae was manger he had food menu that consisted of PIE &PEAS PIE&BEANS THERE WAS ALSO SOME KIND OF FISH ON A FINGER OF TOAST there were NO ladies toilets dispite 2 women working behind the bar it was one of the last MEN ONLY pubs in glasgow one friday night this big blonde women & another women came into the pub & asks him for 2 whiskys WEE HAVE NO LADIES FACITIES IN HERE he tells her she says IM NOT IN HERE TO PEE he serves there drinks she then asks him where the ladies toilets are wee have none he says she then shoves a sheet of paper at him saying she is a lawyer & he is now breaking the law a guy takes pictures for EVENING TIMES a ladies toilet was built shortly after that the next boss was weeJOHN GORDON a mice wee guy & so were his staff when wee john died a wqmen & her family ran it into the ground I was in my shop when it came over the radioe that there was a fire on WEST NILE ST sadly it was my local that was burning we then moved over to the IRON HORSE maybe it was FURLUNGS then did not like the 2 brothers in charge they were a pain in the arse we moved over to ALFREDOS & HAVE BEEN THERE EVER SINCE
