This is one of Glasgow’s well hidden public houses, some people living in the east end of the city didn’t know this pub existed even though it has been here for over one hundred years. It was owned by the Neilson Family of many years the same family that owned the Railway Tavern on Shettleston Road.

My grandparents lived in Easter Hill St, the pub was there local, it ws child friendly, there was, a side entrance we could get juice and packets of cheese, oinion cracker packets, it was an old place, had Saturday sing songs from the old and young with a piano player. As a n eighteen year old I had mny happy family times there,
