This well hidden gem sits across from Charing Cross railway station. Designed in American style bar diner serves excellent meal and is full of office worker in the area. Its in close proximity of the Mitchell Library and the Kings Theatre. Live music most night. If opened it’s doors in 1984 and has since grown to become a Glasgow institution. It is owned by Gerry McGhee and Billy McAneney.
The Baby Grand is a well known and respected Glasgow restaurant and piano bar, often referred to as a Glasgow institution due to its excellent reputation spanning over the past 30 years. This classic piano bar and eatery is often compared with the renowned Bradley’s Jazz Bar – New York – due to its similar friendly ambience, delicious food and dedication to keeping classic jazz alive.
This well hidden Glasgow gem sits across from Charing Cross railway station and is ideally located for The Kings Theatre (less than 5-minute walk away). There is a reasonably priced car park located behind the train station and the newly opened Scottish Hydro can be walked to in under 20 minutes.

The Baby Grand is celebrating it’s 34th birthday and giving customers the chance to eat for free for the next 34 years. All they have to do is to take a trip down memory lane, asking them to submit their favourite memories of the city from the last three decades. The best story will then be rewarded with free food until November 2052. The Baby Grand is now gearing up for the next course, investing £250,000 to renovate and expand the premises.
