7 Avenue End Road, Glasgow. G33 6ND.
The New Inn. 1991.
The last time I passed this pub it was closed down. Early 2005. The formal opening of the New Inn took place on 27th September 1954 after a long struggle to get the place opened, the residents opposed the idea of licensed premises on their door step.
The new design was fitted out by Archibald Hamilton & Co Ltd which consisted of a large open public bar and a smaller cocktail lounge. Red hide seats was used in the cocktail lounge with green hide in the public bar.
Mr James Ironside, Glasgow manager of William Younger & Co Ltd, formally declared the premises open. The new owner was Mr Joseph Chambers.
