David Taylor says
I ran the Wine Bar when I left college for about a year in 1982-1983 & Lautrec’s had just opened so we tried doing a supper club (buy a scotch egg & drink gallons of Stella Artois until 1am 😂 ) to stop the crowds going to Lautrec’s or to the venues in the town as midnight licences were beginning to be applied for (& granted)
Charlie Parker’s was the 1st the manage the jump from 11-midnight
Harvey’s at 8 Park Terrace suffered badly bcos of the new drinking hours but Sundays were still busy (like they always had been going back to December 1976 when it opened)
