Tennent Caledonian Breweries open new lounge in Aberdeen pub.
After extensive replanning, the Tennent Caledonian Breweries’ hostelry, Seaton Arms, 690 King Street, Aberdeen, opened the new Paddock Lounge in time for the festive season. It is designed and decorated in “Old World Style”, beamed ceilings, complete with stable-like stalls, lush carpeting and furnishings.
Manager Tom Maitland (seen behind the bar), said “I’m sure ‘The Paddock’ will prove a popular rendezvous for Aberdonians and visitors alike, and I’m looking forward to coping with the inevitable boost in trade.” 1973.

Back in ’87 we University of Aberdeen students were told not to dare set foot in the Seaton Arms. Why was that?
