Opening of the Plainsman
Photographed at the opening in Plains, Near Airdrie, of a new public house, aptly named “The Plainsman,” are left to right Mr. Andrew Timmons, the owner, Mrs. Timmons, pulling the first pint, Mr. R McCormick, field sales manager, Ushers, and Mr. W. Moyes, also of Ushers. The opening ceremony was performed by Jimmy Johnstone, of Celtic Football Club. 1972.
The Plainsman was demolished to build the Plains Social Club and is now flats.
