I remember as a very young boy, my father and his brother running this place. Maybe approx 50 yrs ago.
Plenty of stories about that place.
I remember being in the pub in 1982 whilst working with The Easterhouse Arts Festival.
Who owned it?

I well remember when Gasgow was heading for the European City of Culture in 1990 I was asked to take the the then Minister for Culture to visit the City and some of it’s cultural community. Rendezvouing with the police outriders and the big Scottish Office black limo at Harthill we travelled into Glasgow at intimidating speed and swept into the Casbar car park only to find the place chain padlocked and deserted……but not for long. The lively young team from the Easterhouse Festival Society landed in with great “ashettes” of food, the security gates were unchained the Casbar was opened and for the next two hours the Minister was truly introduced to real Glasgow culture. Any nervousness soon evaporated and I can tell you he was well impressed.

Anybody remember being in the pub on 09 January, 2005 after Celtic vs Ranger game, which ended in a 2-1 win for Celtic. There was a big fight and somebody got stabbed to death. What happened that night?
Anybody see who killed David Crawford on the 9th January 2005?
