Mallon's

Mallon’s. 1991.

Mallon’s is now demolished. The pub went through a bad stage in the 1990s. The police found drugs hidden in the bar, the pub was set on fire and was finally demolished last years 2004.

The Mallon family were well respected members of the Scottish licensed trade, Hugh Mallon the founder of the business had pubs in Hope Street and Cowcaddens the pub in Lambhill was originally at the corner of Balmore Road and Kilfinan Street now a fish and chip shop. Mary Mallon married into the Neeson family who owned P J Neeson, Allison Street in the south side of the city.
