The owner of the pub was landlady Mrs John Stewart.

Email from Jimmy MC… The pub was formerly owned by Mr J P McGill, when he left the pub the prices increased and the place has went downhill since. 2008.
This very old pub has been known in recent years as “The Anvil Inn.” “The Anvil.” “Anvil.” “The Crafty Fox.”
