Can anyone remember a pub called the Companions. A Cambuslang pub from around 1979.

    The Companions in Cambuslang was the name of the pub Findlays prior to it becoming Findlays.

    The Companions was the nickname of the pub before it became Findlay’s, but for the life of me I can’t remember its real name.
    I believe ‘the companions’ were the two Scottie Dogs featured beside each other in the metal feature that was mounted on the corner of the building. It is no longer there, and you can see the marks on the wall where it had been mounted. You can clearly see the marks in this Google map :
