Kai Johansen’s Advert.

This old pub was formerly called the Clyde Bar.

Interior of Kai Johansen's bar 1971

Third from the left is Ron McKinnon; Mr Angus MacKinnon, manager of the bar, Mrs E Archibald and Mrs Sinclair both from Laurieston House. Do you know anyone else in this photograph? If so please get in touch.

Pennies collected by customers and staff were pushed over by Rangers and Scottish international footballer Ron McKinnon. The pile of pennies amounted to £56 18s 6d, and goes to the Mentally Handicapped Children, Laurieston House, Carlton Place, Glasgow. A raffle was held to guess the total number of pennies and the £11 proceeds also went to the Mentally Handicapped Children.

Do you know anything about this pub, then please get in touch.
