The Ultra Theque Book of matches.
I remember my father had a red token that allowed him to skip the long queue of people waiting to enter the premises. His friend that owned the The Ultra Theque gave it to him as he and his friend frequented this very well-known night club. He met Rod Stewart one night and had a great night drinking and chatting to “Sir” Rod.
Do you remember this pub? If so please leave a comment.

Geography is slightly off, the pub was at the opposite end of the Sauchiehall street shopping centre, the ultratheque was in the basement of the la scala building on Wellington street, the club was owned by unicorn leisure, run for a time by john Quigley who owned the french quarter on hope street and the cotton club on Scott street.
