This favourite south side hostelry was built in 1912-1913 by Clarke and Bell for well known publican James O’Malley. However the history of this pub goes back a lot further, to read the full history of the Corona Bar click here.

There has been a public house on this site since 1855. The first licensee was a gentleman called Robert Alexander MacLean, a well-known wine and spirit merchant in the south side of the city.
