Update September 2016..
After a closure of two years. The Old Toll Bar, Paisley Road Toll, is getting a facelift. We at Old Glasgow Pubs went to investigate and to make sure the interior was not in any way dismantled. We got a shock when we first arrived at the Old Toll and discovered lots of wood and black bags of rubble outside the premises. As we went inside the pub the interior was still intact, the outside has been painted as well as the interior. New coats of paint on the walls and new toilets. We should see the Old Toll Bar open in two weeks time.

We received an email from John McGee with a great photo of his father Owen (Owenie) McGee from Donegal, Ireland who owned the Old Toll Bar from around 1976/77 until 1985/86. Owen also owned The Cedarwood Bar in Rutherglen and The Royal Oak in Nitshill Glasgow. Big thanks to John McGee for sending in the information and the photo!
